Abstract
The contemporary international system is experiencing a profound transformation characterized by the relative diffusion of power from a predominantly unipolar structure toward increasingly complex forms of multipolarity. This transformation has intensified strategic competition among major powers while simultaneously reshaping the domestic political landscapes of states located in geopolitically significant regions. South Asia occupies a particularly important position within this evolving strategic environment because of its demographic weight, nuclearized security architecture, maritime significance, economic potential, and geographic proximity to major geopolitical theaters.
